Sekerra Christmas Party

The last of the Christmas Parties, we were able to attend, was last night (Dec. 29). It was the Sekerra Party. We arrived at 4:15, the party was suppose to start at 4:00, people finally started arriving about 5:45 and we had to leave to attend the Laurdine Family Baptism. So we went to the baptism and came back. By then the party was in full gear.  The children were dancing for there gifts, dinner was being served, right after the gift giving the Relief Society sang, Then the Priesthood sang, Then the youth danced, then the missionaries danced(except me, someone had to take pictures), then the youth danced again. It was great fun. What a great branch.

We love the Sekerra Branch, just as we  love all the branches. We wish we could go there more often, but we try to visit all the branches, so we don't get there as often as we would like. This branch is one of the best for fellow shipping new converts and less actives. They are so friendly and love all the people that come and the one's that don't come. They are hard workers for the Lord.

Nett's Baptisms

We were suppose to have 6 baptisms today, but 2 of them fell through. The Nett branch came through with 4 baptisms. The Nett Elders, Elder Cook & Elder Holt & Elder Eyre ( who has been transferred to Guam) have worked hard and taught the Laurdine Family. We had the opportunity of going with them several times and love this family.

All 4 baptisms were from 1 family, it was a great night for the Lord.

Branch Christmas Parties

Nett

We were only able to go to the Nett Christmas Party for a little while, because it was just before our Christmas Dinner with the Missionaries. For the little while we were there it was fun. Here are some Pictures to Enjoy.

Sapwalap

We went to the Sapwalap Party yesterday (Friday Dec. 28) They had a program with the primary children and then all of the children were given gifts. They have a tradition out here, you don't get your gift, unless you dance. So each child had to come up and dance to the music before they were given a gift. It was so fun, even Elder LeFevre & I danced. Then they served a dinner, which we did not stay for because we had to be off to the Palikir party.

Palikir

We arrived at the Palikir party just in time for the rain. So we tried to help set up an awning, but they were missing some parts, so we just sat in the rain. They also had a program with singing and dancing by the youth and primary. I even sang a duet with Irene Ongesel. Then we ate dinner and once again the children had to dance for there gifts. It was great fun.

We had a busy day, but we love being out with the members. We love these people, they have the warmest heart on the planet.
